
Essential Vocabulary
- Similar=to figures identical in shape, although NOT necessarily the same size.
- Congruent=two figures EXACTLY EQUAL in size and shape.
- Angle=two rays sharing a common endpoint.
- Polygon=closed figure with at least three straight sides.
- Parallel lines=lines that do not cross.
- Perpendicular lines=lines that cross and intersect or meet at a 90 degree angle.
